Food historians believe Trachana to be an advanced version of the wheat and milk gruel eaten by the ancient Greeks and Romans. Today Trachana is made with slightly soured milk and partially or finely cracked wheat. Rich in carbohydrates and Fiber, it is a great energy booster and protects the bowels.
