½ kg beans Delicious Crete
100ml extra virgin olive oil Miterra or Arodama
1 onion, diced
1 ½ jars of tomato sauce Hdiston
2 carrots, sliced
½ celery, sliced
sea salt from Mesologgi
1 small red pepper, slicedKalamata olives Sativa
Soak the beans the night before in a bowl with a lot of water. Than, rinse thoroughly and drain them. Let them cook in a big pot with 2 liters of water until they are almost done.
Meanwhile, saute the onions over high heat and add the tomato sauce. Cook for a few minutes, than add the carrots,celery, red pepper, salt, pepper and 1 liter of water.
When the beans are almost done, drain them and add them to the pot with the tomato sauce. Cover the pot and let it simmer until the beans are cooked to your liking.
Serve them warm and with a few Sativa Kalamata olives.
