A great variety of particular types of pulses and pasta that either naturally grow typically in Greece or form traditional recipes that have shaped Greek cuisine already since ancient times. F. Ex. Food historians believe Trachana to be an advanced version of the wheat and milk gruel eaten by the ancient Greeks and Romans. Today Trachana is made with slightly soured milk and partially or finely cracked wheat. Rich in carbohydrates and Fiber, it is a great energy booster and protects the bowels.
